We are looking for entry level fire alarm & sprinkler technicians for our test and inspection department. Technicians will receive a company smartphone, and tablet or laptop depending on the specific job requirements. Many of our clients are located in SE Michigan, so we are seeking candidates that could commute to this area.

An Inspection Technician is responsible for assisting in routine required inspection and testing, preventative maintenance, and documentation of Electrical and Mechanical components of Fire Alarm Systems, Portable Extinguishers, Automatic Sprinkler Systems, and Special Hazard Systems under the direct supervision of an Inspector.

Additional responsibilities include:

Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
Complete assigned inspections on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50 lbs.
Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
Demonstrate a high level of customer service skill.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures .
Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
