JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an integral member of the Accounting/Finance team, our Senior Staff Accountant performs a wide array of responsibilities, including reporting, analysis, data reconciliation and working with auditors. This is a fantastic opportunity to put your analytic and technical skills to work with a growing private equity backed company that specializes in complex consolidated accounting methods via mergers and acquisitions. Must be highly motivated and able to problem solve utilizing technology to optimize operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists with the month end closing and reporting process.

Assists to prepare monthly financial reporting and analysis package.

Prepares and records journal entries, including the month-end closing process entries.

Responsible for job revenue recognition process

Prepares monthly account reconciliations in support of the financial statements.

Tracks Fixed Asset purchases and disposals.

Prepares and maintains weekly cashflow forecast.

Reviews inventory transactions for purchase price variances.

Support the integration of acquired companies and perform acquisition accounting and consolidation.

Performs variance analyses.

Assists the VP of Finance/Controller in the annual financial audit with external auditors.

Performs ad-hoc reporting and special projects as required.

Back-up for payroll, AP and AR

Must continuously adhere to Company’s Controlled Substances and Alcohol Standard.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, plus
-
3+ years of accounting experience, OR
-
The equivalent combination of education and experience.

Public accounting experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

Must be able to use a telephone, computer and other office equipment.
